The development of exploration and mining
Pedro Sanchez, will travel to Toronto, Canada, to chair the Peruvian delegation to attend the annual convention of the Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada (PDAC) 2010, which bring together different companies related to exploration and mining in general.
The international event will be held at the Metro Toronto Convention Center – South Building of the City of Toronto.
According to a supreme resolution of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers (PCM), published today, the Peruvian delegation will be composed of representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism (Mincetur), Ministry of Environment (Minam) and regional governments.
They will also be representatives of the Institute of Geology, Mining and Metallurgy (Ingemmet), the Commission for the Promotion of Peru Export and Tourism (Promperu), the Agency for Promotion of Private Investment (ProInversión), the Institute of Mining Engineers (IIMP ) and the Chamber of Commerce Canada – Peru.
Representatives will also participate the Lima Stock Exchange (BVL), the Central Reserve Bank (BCR), the Canadian Embassy, the National Society of Mining, Petroleum and Energy (SNMPE), the National Confederation of Private Business (Confiep) .
Rounding out the delegation of representatives of the Geological Society of Peru, the Scout Association of Peru, private companies and the Ministry of Energy and Mines (MEM), as Deputy Minister of Mines, Fernando Gala.
However, the rule authorizes the minister to leave the country from 6 to 8 March to address issues of personal nature. In this sense, the PCM instructed the Minister of Labour and Employment Promotion, Manuela Garcia, the office of the duration of the absence MEM Minister Pedro Sanchez.
